기술의 발전으로 예술의 경계가 허물어진 지금, 창작과 감상은 더 이상 특정 공간에만 머물지 않습니다. 예술은 이제 특정 공간에만 머무는 것이 아닌 우리가 숨 쉬는 도시 곳곳으로 침투합니다. 비커밍아트는 무심코 지나치던 도심의 벽면을 미디어 파사드로 변모시키고, 기술을 통해 일상의 공간에 예술적 감각을 덧입힙니다. 이를 통해 기술과 예술의 경계를 허물고, 시민들이 일상 속에서 자연스럽게 예술적 환기를 경험할 수 있는 도시 플랫폼 역할을 수행합니다.

첫 프로젝트인 ‘비커밍 아트 제주’는 이호테우 해변의 건물 외벽을 거대한 빛의 캔버스로 변모시켰습니다. 여행객과 지역민, 심지어 하늘 위 관객까지 함께 했던 제주의 비커밍 아트는 미디어 아트를 통해 예술이 우리 곁에서 어떻게 살아 숨 쉬는 경험이 될 수 있는지 지역의 풍경과 호흡하며 보여주었습니다. 제주의 실험적 시도를 넘어 이제 전세계 여러 도시와 지역과 함께 비커밍 아트는 다양한 로컬의 매력을 디지털 기술로 재해석하며, 누구나 참여하고 누릴 수 있는 지속가능한 예술에 기여하고자 합니다.

BeComing Art is an online-offline hybrid art platform exploring new possibilities at the intersection of digital technology and artistic expression. Rooted in Gilles Deleuze’s philosophy of "Becoming," we define art not as a fixed, static object, but as a "generative process" that constantly evolves and flows through our lives.
As technology dissolves traditional boundaries, the creation and appreciation of art are no longer confined to specific institutions. Art now permeates the very urban landscapes we inhabit. BeComing Art transforms overlooked city walls into massive media facades and infuses everyday spaces with artistic sensibilities through technology. In doing so, we serve as a city-scale platform where technology and art converge, allowing citizens to experience natural artistic inspiration in their daily routines.
Moving beyond simple exhibition curation, we act as a strategic business partner connecting digital artists with brands that possess their own unique identities. By visualizing the stories and philosophies of specific regions and brands into digital content, we breathe new life into local ecosystems and provide a sustainable creative environment for artists.
Our inaugural project, "BeComing Art Jeju," transformed the exterior of a building near Ihoteu Beach into a monumental canvas of light. Engaging travelers, locals, and even audiences viewing from the skies above, the project demonstrated how media art can become a living, breathing experience that resonates with the local landscape.
Expanding from this experimental success in Jeju to cities and regions worldwide, BeComing Art continues to re-interpret local charm through digital technology, contributing to a sustainable art culture that everyone can participate in and enjoy.
